REIKI: It should be understood that Reiki is not a "regulated" therapy at the moment and this form of healing is conferred on the Therapist who receives it from a "Master Reiki" who should be able to provide their "lineage" back to an original Reiki Master in Japan from where it originated.

Reiki is a Japanese word representing “Universal Life Energy”….the energy which sustains us and which is around us and is within us! As a natural healing technique this natural energy is amplified and activated to promote healing, balance and well being. A Reiki treatment can be given anywhere and at anytime….the way of receiving a treatment is a simple process by which hands are placed on or off the body in a sequence of positions to cover the whole body.

The therapist is a channel through which the energy is drawn by the need or imbalance of the receiver.

The recipient simply lies on a couch and relaxes and if one is not able to lie down it can also be applied in a sitting position. The main thing is that you are comfortable and there is no need to remove any clothing

The whole person is treated rather than the symptoms and a session can take up to one and half hours.

Reiki flows to the areas of need, soothing pain and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It has a positive effect on many different conditions and aids healing on all levels of being: Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual. Reiki supports all forms of treatment both orthodox and complementary.

Ideally, a client would receive 4 treatments in a row—however one treatment only can be very beneficial.

Treatments:

• Acute Injuries can be helped heal quicker (chronic illness may take more time and treatments to show improvement)
• Terminal Illness—Reiki can bring an enhancement to the quality of life and a sense of peace and acceptance.
• Treatments such as Chemotherapy/Radiation/Surgery have a draining effect and are often accompanied by severe side effects. Reiki can increase the person’s vital energy and help pain relief together with aiding the client’s ability to deal with reactions such as fear and depression.
• Reiki has the power to reunite the trinity of Body-Mind-Spirit. It can enhance your inner power and strength, create a clear expression of thoughts and ideas and balance the body functions.
• Reiki re-balances the chakras which are the main energy centres of the body.
